The Bosphorus cymbals in the New Orleans Series feels nearly as good behind a jazz kit as it will on a modern set-up. It's entirely hand-hammered in the conventional manner, and then wide-lathed in a continual spiral from bell to outside edge.
The unique lathing creates a clear and woody stick sound with an increase of stick definition and trashy undertones. It bears a resemblance to an older classic Turkish cymbal.
