Sticks with a large diameter, yet not too heavy really accentuate warm sounds, and soft, yet brilliant cymbal tones. These are made of North American hard maple and are ideal for light, and or fast playing. They have a lot of "pop" and can really feel like they nearly play themselves. A great variation and addition to a hickory stick.
Hard maple - aka sugar maple or rock maple - is quite light and allows stronger diameters with less weight. It is less durable than hickory. It produces a distinguished warm and clear cymbal sound.
Natural finishes do not use any surface coating - no wax, no oil or lacquer between you and your stick.
