Subdued and muted in a extremely useful way. They have the vintage vibe and feel of a pair of hats that have been in the studio forever and used on tons of recordings. They're not much to look at but who cares.
The top hat has some sort of black film on it. Not sure what it is to be honest. It's been buffed off the top side but still present on the bottom side of the top hat. There's two small edge dings as well.
